Crochet Collection Intro

 

Crocheting is something that I have always wanted to try just because who doesn't want to make their own big fuzzy blankets and cozy sweaters? I've attempted knitting before, (when I was like 14 my aunt taught me how) but I never got past making a VERY uneven "scarf". I've been told that crocheting is much easier than knitting anyway, so let's get started. I mean, how hard could it be?

I'm going to start off with a list of supplies I will be using for this hobby and then move on to my first steps. Basically I'll open Youtube and search "Crocheting for beginners" and see what comes up. I will be sure to insert links to the videos I am referring to and try to upload a video or maybe a photo or two of my attempts. 

Please keep in mind that most of this is new to me and I usually have no idea what I'm doing on a regular basis, let alone trying to make a sweater with a curved stick and some yarn. Let's keep our comments positive and a little comedic. I understand that sometimes laughter can help us get through stressful situations, but always try to be kind and think before you post something that could be hurtful.

I am excited to start this cool hobby and possibly make some money doing it (assuming I immediately pick this up and start making 5 star quality sweaters). I've talked to a few people who crochet on a regular basis and a lot of them said to be prepared to start over. A lot. Sounds great. With every new idea comes many hurdles so I will stick with it for AT LEAST two weeks.

My overall goal is to make at least one article of "clothing" that I am proud of whether that may be a new hat for one of my kitties or a pair of booties for my newborn. I will get started tomorrow and keep you all updated along the way.
